“In 2013 I founded Kingston Barnes after spending 11 years in construction recruitment, placing key individuals for some of the region’s most notable and high profile contractors, consultancies and developers. My main focus was to develop a consultancy that stood ahead of our competitors in every way, and to create a company that offers a first class service committed to recruitment in construction. Within our first year of trading we won the Bristol Post’s start up business of the year award and have continued to achieve success in every aspect of the business.
As the Managing Director of Kingston Barnes my key focus is driving the business forward whilst maintaining my passion for recruiting key people within the construction industry. The ultimate goal for Kingston Barnes is to be the name in construction that people turn to when looking for a new position, or looking to hire new talent. Kingston Barnes has already established itself in the South-West, our next aim is to establish ourselves throughout the UK offering the same award winning service, focused on doing the job right by getting to know and understand our clients and candidates.
I have always been passionate about recruitment and I'm a great believer that it is people who create a successful business. Finding the right person and matching them to the right company is what helps drive a business forward. The best recruitment comes from understanding how important that is, and truly understanding your industry. Recruitment is an industry where you can get to know lots of people and business’s and once you understand the industry and the people within it you are able to offer a great service. I get great satisfaction in helping people find the right job that can springboard a career and achieve their life goals. Helping a company grow and expand by recruiting key successful team members and leaders is equally rewarding. I have come to love the construction and recruitment industry and really enjoy every aspect of recruitment. This passion is why I have taken the position as Ambassador so I can pass this on to the next generation of recruiters. Finding the added value in candidates and clients and being a partner to them to improve their career or business is such a rewarding and fulfilling position.”
