From today an employer can join its in-house talent acquisition team to The British Institute of Recruiters in one go. STAR Team is the team form of STAR, Specialist in Talent Acquisition and Retention, the professional standard for the people who hire inside an organisation.
The team lead chooses a band, up to 5, 10, 20 or 50 seats, pays one invoice by card or by bank transfer, and adds the team from the dashboard. Every person added becomes a STAR member in their own right, with the letters, the certification assessment, their own verification page, the LinkedIn credential and the STAR shelf of documents written for the in-house desk. The lead has a seat too.
The team has a page and a badge of its own. The verification page is published by BIOR from the live record and reads “[Employer]’s talent acquisition team holds a STAR Team membership of The British Institute of Recruiters, which makes every member of the team a STAR member, Specialist in Talent Acquisition and Retention, with their own verification page.” The badge sits in the careers page footer and links to it, so a candidate or a hiring manager can see in a minute that the team works to a professional standard. Each person’s page and badge are theirs, for their signature and their LinkedIn profile. Anyone can check a member at ior.org/verify.
Seats are reassigned when someone leaves, people can be added up to the band at any time, and a team that grows moves to the next band at its renewal. The STAR price is £120 a seat a year plus VAT, the same as an individual STAR membership; a team pays it once, on one invoice, for everyone. Public bodies that buy on a purchase order choose the bank-transfer route at the checkout and the invoice follows.
