STAR Team is the way an employer joins its in-house recruitment team to The British Institute of Recruiters in one go. The team lead chooses a seat band, pays one invoice by card or by bank transfer, and adds the team from the dashboard. Every person added becomes a STAR member in their own right, Specialist in Talent Acquisition and Retention, with the letters, the mark, their own verification page, the LinkedIn credential, the STAR shelf and the assessment. The team has a verification page and a badge of its own for the careers page.
Acme Group, STAR TeamSeven STAR members. Checkable by any candidate or hiring manager at ior.org/verify.The STAR price is £120 a seat a year plus VAT, the same as an individual STAR membership; a team pays it once, on one invoice, for everyone.
A head of talent and a small team. One invoice, five seats, each person a STAR member with their own page.
A talent acquisition team with partners, a sourcer and coordinators. Ten seats on one invoice.
A resourcing function across several sites or divisions. Twenty seats, one lead, one invoice.
A national or group talent acquisition team. Fifty seats, added as people join, on one invoice a year.
More than fifty, or a public body that buys on a purchase order? Email support@ior.org and we set it up with you.
How it worksThe team lead chooses the band, gives the employer's name and their own details, and pays by card or asks for the bank-transfer invoice. The lead is a STAR member too, with a seat of their own.
From the dashboard, name and email for each person, up to the band. Each gets a login, a STAR membership number, a verification page, the directory entry, the LinkedIn credential and the shelf the same minute.
Included in every seat. Pass it and the person is STAR Certified for five years, with the Certified mark on their page and their badge. The team page shows the team; each page shows the person.
The team's verification page is published by BIOR from the live record and reads "[Employer]'s talent acquisition team holds a STAR Team membership of The British Institute of Recruiters, which makes every member of the team a STAR member, with their own verification page." Its badge goes in the careers page footer and says what the page says. Each person's page and badge are theirs, in their signature and on their LinkedIn profile.
Check a member at ior.org/verifyAfter each person's name, on their LinkedIn profile, in their email signature, with the live badge drawn from their record each time it is shown.
Included in every seat. Online, about 45 minutes, from each person's dashboard. Five years, then again, free.
Written for the in-house desk, ready to use the same day. The brief you hand a hiring manager, the compliance calendar with the dates that bite your organisation this year, the right to work procedure for bank and casual staff, the interview question bank. Ten documents now, a new one most weeks, for every seat.
What changed this week in the employment law that governs hiring, in plain English, to every person on the team.
Yes, up to the band, from My Team, at no extra charge. If the team grows past the band, the lead moves to the next band at the renewal, or earlier by asking support@ior.org.
The lead removes them from My Team and the seat is free for the next person. The person who left can keep STAR in their own name, and we tell them how.
No. The people are listed in the members directory as individuals; the team page is the employer's own page for the careers site, with its badge, and it is not listed among recruitment businesses.
Yes. Choose the bank-transfer route at the checkout and the invoice follows; the team is live the day the payment is recorded.
No. STAR is for the people who hire inside an employer. Recruitment businesses take Agency Membership, which covers everyone in the business.
