Recruitment training courses
The British Institute of Recruiters (BIOR) delivers recruitment training online through StudyCourse, its learning platform, with tutor support. Each completed course comes with a CPD certificate issued by BIOR. Training is separate from BIOR membership, which includes a certification assessment rather than a course.
The Complete range
The Complete range is built for recruiters in their first months on a desk and for the people who manage them. Each course is video led, studied online for about an hour a day at the recruiter's own desk, so learning fits around a working week. The courses are general training, not qualifications.

Who the courses are for
New recruiters and resourcers, consultants with less than six months on a desk, in-house recruiters who hire for their own employer, and managers and leaders of recruitment teams. The courses cover permanent, contract and temporary work and every step of the recruitment process. A growing agency can use them as the standard induction for every new hire, so everyone starts from the same process.
Training and membership are different things
A course teaches a recruiter how to do the job. BIOR membership is something else. It includes the certification assessment, which tests an agency's or a recruiter's processes against current UK recruitment law and the BIOR Code of Professional and Ethical Conduct, a listing in the public directory, and a verification page at ior.org/verify that anyone can check. Completing a course does not make someone a member, and membership is not needed to take a course. A recruiter who wants both takes a course through StudyCourse and joins BIOR through Personal Membership; an agency joins through Agency Membership, which covers everyone who works in it.
Regulated qualifications, the Level 2 Certificate in Recruitment Resourcing (Cert RRec) and the Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Recruitment (Cert PRec), are awarded through Summit Qualifications UK, BIOR's Ofqual regulated awarding brand, and are described at Recruitment Qualifications.

How long do the courses take?
From 7 days to 12 weeks, at about an hour of online study a day, alongside the recruiter's normal work.
